Processing of personal data

As the holder of a library card, you have entered an agreement with the libraries of Region Stockholm. In order to fulfill our part of the agreement, we need to process some information about you. Personal data is information that can be linked to you. We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation).

The personal data we process is, for example, your name, social security number, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

We process your data to enable your access to library services including: borrowing, returning, reserving and using the library’s digital services. We also process your data to contact you about your loans and reservations.

Your personal data retained as long as you use our services. If you discontinue use of our services, we save your data for a maximum of 2 years.

Only library staff can see your personal information. Information about your ongoing loans is confidential, and never disclosed to anyone else. All loan history is deleted when a book is returned unless fees are linked to the loan.

You have the right to know what information the library has about you and you have the right to request that the information be changed if it is incorrect. You can get help at your library.
